the E6750 from intel is about 6 to 10% faster in appz and games and the E6850 is about 30% faster

That price is insane. That CPU is supposed to be between R1,800 and R2,000 at most...
Not a bad CPU but you can take a 6000+ to the same speeds and beyond.

I've read this article where they said the 6400+ can be over clocked to over 4ghz with sufficient cooling.

Its still on the .90nm process, so I dont think so. It doesnt come with a heatsink/fan. I'd rather take a E6850 and invest the extra R228 this CPU will cost (over the Intel) in a Intel motherbaord vs the cheaper AMD ones...

Definitely, I think buycomputers have got it early, most other places don't have it yet, so it's a artifically high price?

Nah ... its not an artificially high price ... the cost on this item at the moment is 2506.86 from my (and probably buy computers') supplier ... so they are sticking a 14% mark up on it ... which is a little bit high ... my normal mark up on something like this is 10% which is reasonable. I just haven't bothered to put it on my site for now ... cause I wanna wait for the developers to finish everything ... its such a pain to just put 1 item at a time cause I stuffed up the mechanism that does that by using access to upload products
