I thought, when I discovered myadsl iburst forum, I had come to a constructive community, but on arrival and looking in from time to time I have come across a badly managed forum where whining seems to be the theme.
I left these forums when a huge fight broke out amongst certain forum members. The fight was caused, by what I can see, some people complaining about Iburst speed issues. Most of these members were telling the other complaining members to take a hike and find another service that is better.
Amazing how these forum members who were telling others to take a hike are the same ones complaining about being suspended.
Now these same ‘Network Abusers’ then want to start an all out war with WBS because of their selfish greed. Granted WBS were unprofessional but for the majority of users who were suffering, like me, truly do not care about your grievances. Speed has radically improved for me and I am happy about the hard approach WBS took.
They are not in breach of contract. You are abusing the network and actually they can do exactly what they did. Bear in mind you do not own the network, it’s there network and NOT everyone was suspended, just the “Network Abusers” Think of it as a Right of Admission reserved.
The same people who told others who complained a while back to take a hike and find another service. I have some a suggestion based on your very own advice. Find another internet provider.
I understand that not everyone who was suspended was suspended justifiably, but if the only way for WBS to sort out their problem for 95% of users was to cut out the 5% cancer then do it by all means necessary.
I am very interested to see how many people, who said they are canceling, are truly going to cancel and I am more intrigued to see how many court cases arise from this.
My bet: zero.
I know WBS is not that professional, like many other South African broadband suppliers which is no excuse, but please understand that ‘Network Abuse’ is what ruined my internet experience and right now I am getting what I am paying for no thanks to any actions of people on this board but to that of WBS.
I am also aware that their 64K throttling service was faulty and some onus falls on WBS in terms of responsibility, but it seems the only way to treat you guys is like kids.
You bit the hand that was essentially giving you free bandwidth and now you want to fight them and ruin them in the media.
Amazing.
Regards
Amber
