Amazon.co.za is live

Can't really compare prices by 3rd party sellers. If I missed it , the one at TAL don't even mention Russell Hobbs.

What's the excuse for this one?

I needed that for free delivery wasn't the main order
We could have used the “welcome” coupon for free delivery on your first order, but maybe it will still work next time. I got some skincare products to make up the R77.

I just ordered using the voucher ("WELCOME") - just a pack of coincells to test them out.

FNB cards were already loaded but needed to re-enter the CVV and then do 3D secure.

Wonder if they now process FNB cards locally so that I don't have to pay the stupid international fee.

Yes it should be easy to dispute if they bypassed it, but still a hassle if it happens. Everyone should be using virtual cards.

Virtual cards don't always rack up points. In my 25+ years of internet shopping using credit cards, I've never had any card used in an unauthorised way.

I also use PayPal for some sites.

In one year, myself and colleagues bought plane tickets at Delta airlines. All 4 or 5 of us had unauthorised transactions on our credit cards in the week/months after.

Cancelled the cards and the bank refunded the transaction - so it was fine - but still would have preferred the virtual cards, as I ended up without a card in the USA (had to cancel the card while travelling).

Looking up some razor blades:

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power5 4s:

Takealot: R799.00
Amazon ZA: R679.99
Clicks: R680.00
Woolworths: R559.18 (includes bar of Lux soap).

(All feature free delivery).

You must have leaked your details somewhere. As said, I've used various cards for over 25 years countless times, sometimes in small time shops which did not do 3D secure, and never had any problems. My card details were even leaked at least once but I cancelled the card after the site notified me of the breach.

But sure, where available, I use PayPal. :)

Testing them out. Will be interesting to see how long they take to deliver to more rural areas. Items said that they will be delivered by Friday, but after checkout it said delivery on Friday or Monday. Order page shows as arriving Monday.

Also is it normal to see a "-R70 delivery discount" when the order total is above R500? All items said they ship from Amazon.

Does anyone know if they do vouchers?

I'd like to get a voucher for my wife to play around with, loves the online shopping experience.

TIA.

...and yet, I ordered from Amazon.com because the SA one does not keep stock of the things I want. If they don't at least mirror the stock of the US and UK one, then what's the point. Then I'd rather keep buying from the US one and takealot.

Go for instance and search for office chair wheel on the US one and see what's available. Then do the same on the SA one. It's laughable ...lol
