Last year I managed to get hold of a Kindle. Just plain not fire, as I am a avid reader. At the end of April I had a small mishap and the Kindle Screen only showed half. I thought with despair that I would have to shell out the cash for a new one - but wait! I chatted online with Amazon - the Kindle was less than a year old and in Warranty. They sent me a new one from the States in less than 2 weeks :D. Not only did they send it for free - but to return the old one just cost me a phone call to the Local UPS service.

Now remember this when you are thinking of getting an ebook reader - How much are the books going to cost you and is there a warranty on the product.

Yeah, great service indeed. I have always been an advocate of ordering direct from Amazon.

There are even some posts of people managing to crack the screens accidentally, and Amazon replacing those for free too.

Same thing here, left mine in a damp bag somehow and also had the half-display thing. Everything was done through their support chat system. Mine was purchased from Game, didn't even bother contacting them. Went straight to Amazon.
