Amazon South Africa's disappointing launch year

Have you seen the weber prices recently. If you can get the basic one for under 2k it is a pretty good deal.
Hell I am still using my weber from 2007, only thing I had to replace in that time was braai grill, and installed a new leg kit, with wear and tear the leg socket weakened over time. I paid R999 for mine.

So yeah if the price was right, I wouldn't think about it twice to keep it....

Some braaier you are.........faniebraai is turning in his grave as we speak....!!!!!!! lol RIP old friend

Late is anytime after the agreed upon time. Having to have someone be available to sign for a delivery is an inconvenience, but it's worth it when they actually deliver the goods.

They didn't bother updating the ETA to delayed until after I contacted them.

You might not have an issue with "a few days" but my time is worth something.

I dunno man, you seem to be the exception here or have never had any issue with online retailers before as these things happen. I'm curious to know exactly what was the delay timeframe and the excuses provided.

Amazon za delivered my order late. I’ve come to terms with that, so should you. ;)

I don't have unavailable.
so you're saying you didn't have unavailable ... available?

I used them only once so far, despite specifically setting a different delivery address from my normal address the POS checkout defaulted back to my normal address after already taking payment, I was livid, cancelled the order and retried, it worked the second time around

the refund was relatively painless as it was a hold on my card that they let expire, but it would have been more efficient if they credited my account on Amazon and just took the same funds for the retry attempt instead of putting two holds for the same amount on my card

besides that, delivery was done via Courier Guy and quite swiftly too

Sorry do not use them at all, it would be tantamount to supporting slavery due to their extremely bad H.R. practices. Got to put people before your own gains.
You prefer the 8-yr olds at Temu and Shein?

Where can you find deals like this?

So I've now used 3x methods of delivery:

-To my door 2 days = excellent and on time each time (over 5 orders)

-To a The Courier Guy shop/collection store = excellent. I was also phoned by the store within minutes of the App telling me my parcels were ready for collection.

-To a Pargo collection locker = excellent. App told me that the 2 orders/parcels were in the locker and I was emailed a barcode for each. Arrived at the locker, my daughter scanned the first barcode and the screen on the structure told us which big door to open (large Amazon box). The second barcode was for a small box and the door actually popped open itself as the screen showed us the location.

Overall. Very impressed and all deliveries were quicker than Takealot can get stuff to East London.
