Amazon unveils new Kindle Paperwhite e-book reader

I currently have a Kindle Keyboard, while the Paperwhites are indeed pretty, still have felt it justifies an upgrade. If my current Kindle dies, or really gets out of date, will upgrade/replace it.

They need bigger kindles like the DX. I find these screens very small.
 
I'm currently considering getting a Kindle...wonder if this 6th gen will be available in SA before Oct?
 
Had a Kindle that broke. Got a Kobo Glo - and it is excellent, and much cheaper

The paper white took a while to come here, so you could be looking at next year. Though the first whites were likely due to a supply issue, maybe people wont flock to the new model as much and it will be readily available

It was entirely due to supply constraints. Even US buyers had to wait for stock.

I haven't used the Glo, but I didn't really like the interface on the touchscreen model. Good value for money though.

I presume they did away with the DX and didn't introduce a replacement because it's really a niche product. They're selling them again at the moment, but it is just the same model from years ago. Anyone who wants the larger screen probably just gets a tablet now.

R1400 exclusive at Pick 'n Pay. The Aura has just been released but will take it's time to come to good 'ol SA. Anyway the Glo is still very capable and the new software update later this month will bring up to par with the Aura in terms of the new interface and software features.

That 6" Aura looks awesome...why was I born in this technologically forsaken country? :p
The Glo looks nice, I'm just not a fan of the blue-ish colour of the darks.
