Hi guys is it any good for good gaming with everything on ?
Im currently using a radeon 4850 gaming on a samsung 22inch @native resolution 1680x1050(sometimes lower for extras fps)
Budget wise fpr gpu is , over R2000 and im not going to purchase beyond R3000 only lower.
Still using socket 775 with a quad core Q6600 with 3gigs of ram.
Ived pre-ordered Borderlands 2 and ived seen a trailer of how physx were used, thats another thing for me which im thinking about.

Your RAM and CPU will definitely bottleneck that GPU!

I'd recommend overclocking the CPU and getting more RAM if you have Windows 7 x64.
Overclocking the CPU by more than 10% is only recommended if you have a decent aftermarket cooler.

The HD7850 will most definitely be a big improvement over the HD4850 of yours. Unfortunately I can't comment on PhysX on AMD cards.

I am running win7 64 bit
Not really one that would overclock,( I stay away from that kind of thing) so I'm unsure bout that.

physx is overrated , i am playing this game maxed on 7850 with physx setting also maxed, with 2600k , looks awesome :P

I have a similar PC, with the 7850...

I play every game on max... with the only thing that is limiting performance being my CPU (if I overclock it by 20%, I get a jump in frame of 20% :P).

Thanx a lot guess I'll go with a 7850 but now then which make should I go for ?
Ived been checking prices @ wootware.

With the Borderlands 2 installation, Nvidia's Physx is also installed by default. There's a slight hack that enables Physx to run on AMD GPU-powered systems, but the calculations are instead done on the CPU. Thus you get the same experience without having to compromise on your hardware choices - its actually something Gearbox decided to do from the start when developing the game, since a lot of AMD fans wanted the Physx abilities from the first game when playing with a Nvidia GPU.

As for the HD7850, its a great card. See if you can afford the 2GB versions and pick the cheapest one with the longest warranty - generally, that's Club3D or Sapphire, both which are well-covered with their warranties and local replacement/repair outlets.
