The best value on the market is the M1 MacBook Air, by far imo. Even my 16" MacBook Pro is cheaper than the 17" XPS laptops that I'd have probably needed if going Windows (colour accuracy and resolution).

I can agree with that, and I think Apple is the most likely company to provide integrated graphics capable of high-end gaming. They're already not that far off with Apple Silicon and M1 Ultra.

The biggest competition may come from streaming services like GeForce Now rather than dedicated GPUs though.
 
I'll state this again.

A modular, buildable PC platform is not going away.

The graphics card itself will always be the God-tier of gaming. While yes the integrated graphics setup will get better and better, nothing will ever match the complexity and raw power of discrete graphics.

10 years time there will still be graphics cards. Some may even have an Intel logo....
 
I highly doubt that. In fact I doubt if we will see graphics cards with an intel logo on next year.

Then discrete cards would be able to achieve 16k...
 
I wonder how long it will take for them to re-hash some of that goodness onto the massive customer base known as AM4 users.....

Considering how much I spent on B350, B350 (again), B450, B550 and all I did was go 2400G, 3400G, 4750G and 5700G - which now would have run on that very first B350!

I'm playing the waiting game now. Either for AM5 to mature or to see what future options I get on B550.
