Torvalds is running Linux on his M2 MacBook with the help of Asahi Linux, a distribution that has been working to reverse-engineer Apple's hardware. The Asahi team's goal is to send all of this work upstream into the main Linux kernel so that all distros can benefit, and Asahi has been relatively quick to add support for new Apple chips like the M2 or the M1 Ultra as they've been released.

In November 2020, Torvalds wrote that the then-new M1 version of the Air "would be almost perfect" as an Arm Linux laptop but said, "I don't have the time to tinker with it, or the inclination to fight companies that don't want to help."

So he isn't using the machine the way that Apple wants him to, and it doesn't really work:
In the current alpha, an impressive list of hardware already works, including Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 over the Thunderbolt ports (USB 3.0 only works on Macs with USB-A ports, but USB 3.0 over Thunderbolt is "coming soon"), and the built-in display. But there are still big features missing, including DisplayPort and Thunderbolt, the webcam, Bluetooth, sleep mode, and GPU acceleration. That said, regarding GPU acceleration, the developers say that the M1 is fast enough that a software-rendered Linux desktop feels faster on the M1 than a GPU-accelerated desktop feels on many other ARM chips.

Running a gimped OS on a machine that its designers don't want you to run is hardly the own you think it is.

So where's the Ryzen 9 in this article. I would have taken this trash much more seriously if the Ryzen 9 was in there.

Baseless claims, Apple doesn't care if you run linux, if they didn't want people to run linux then you wouldn't be able to, why don't you argue with the guy actually doing the porting?

@konfab if you wanted more proof, Apple said it themselves even as far as 2 years ago:

Federighi says Windows on ‌M1‌ Macs is "up to Microsoft." The core technologies exist and the Macs are capable of it, but Microsoft has to decide whether to license its Arm-based version of Windows to Mac users.

As for Windows running natively on the machine, "that's really up to Microsoft," he said. "We have the core technologies for them to do that, to run their ARM version of Windows, which in turn of course supports x86 user mode applications. But that's a decision Microsoft has to make, to bring to license that technology for users to run on these Macs. But the Macs are certainly very capable of it."

a) Userbenchmark is an utter garbage website that should not be trusted in the slightest. They are extremely pro-Intel and go out of their way to tweak their test results to make AMD look worse. Hint: Look at their description of the acronym "AMD" in your snapshot. That should tell you something about their attitude towards unbiased reporting.
b) Superseded is not the same as suspended.
c) The 7600X isn't out yet, so even that statement is false.
