AMD vs Intel

Saw this a while ago. Glad to hear we're getting stock January though.

WooHoo!

Well soon they will not be alone anymore. The Sony/Toshiba cell is going mainstream soon

Till that works I am All Intel unless AMD can bring a core killer. I doubt.

Me too.
I don't want to visit the computer shop every week?

LOL.

You do know that if you need to take your pc to the shop every week YOU'RE doing something wrong and not the cpu.

The normal Intel fanboys I can deal with. Plain ignorance is just sad though.

With regards to reliability they are both the same. All my life I've only had AMD cpu and not one has died on me or given me issues.

Sigh.

They are. It's called Phenom 2.

AMD heats up fast when you run a Game Maker program!
Intel don't

My current PC is an Intel, but my previous two were AMDs. I'm no fanboy.

I'm looking forward to see if AMD can produce another Athlon :) Those processors rocked!

Yea being a fanboi is just silly if you ask me.

Support a product no a company. I love core 2 but i only owned AMD before that and if AMD can bounce back i will happily move again.

Product not company people. Also that interview or article that AMD guy seems clueless, surely amd have benched their cpu's and know where they will come out. another thing bothering me is calling die shrinking a marketing gimmick, why then if it is a marketing gimmick is amd moving to 45nm and why do their cpu's suddenly overclock and run cooler?

I started out with AMD so it just stuck
I messed up my processor recently and so I thought of going Intel but I can't afford it as I'm on a very tight budget :o. AMD does what I need it to just a personal preference.

Intel always copies AMD so Phenom 2 will rock.
i7 is just a normal crappy intel with a integrated memory controller that they copied from AMD.

Both are the same to me, I buy the one that gives me better bang for my buck and lately Intel has been doing that.
