Amobia will be revamping its service offering before the end of the month.

Just phoned sales. PE residents are being trialled first then its being rolled out. Was told not to quote him but speeds are being bumped at same price. So don't quote me if I'm wrong :)

Did he mention by any chance what kind of speed bumps should we expect?

Again nothing is finalized he said but...1mb would go 2mb and 384 to 1mb, not sure on the higher speed packages. So basically you can pay R499 for 2mb or keep the 1mb and pay R299

PS. Could you tell us why you moved from Mweb to Altech as your service provider?

PPS. Okay now i'm confused. the IP range when doing a Speedtest shows that its Mweb but when doing a whoisip it says it Autopage Cellular?

Jozi is only getting upgraded in months, the sales person doesn't know when

Looks like my connection was upgraded :)

Was on 1mbit capped, now from the usage report emailed nightly it shows my connection is 2mbit (same cap size though).
Did a speed test to confirm & it is downloading at 2mbit! (upload still only testing at 1mbit though)

Nothing new on the Amobia site from the time of this post; so hopefully the "upgrade" is not a glitch!

Anyone else upgraded?
