Hmmm, I understand the flying octopus part, but what kind of growth does it have!? Looks like a bird?
It is a clever octopus survival tactic. The octopus releases a toxin into the water that causes sardines to swim frantically in a horizontal plane close to the water surface. The hawk catches and eats the sardines, the toxin enters the hawks brain and forces it to target bright orange colours. Since the octopus knows this, it starts displaying bright orange colours and thrashing frantically in its slowly drying sea side pool.
The hawk catches the octopus and while the hawk is flying the toxin, which was active for about 2 hours, quickly starts wearing off. Once the toxin wears off the hawk suddenly goes WTF
:wtf: is attacking my feet and releases the octopus. Unfortunately the toxin does not make the hawk fly in a specific direction and the poor octopus therefore only has a 50% chance of landing over water.
Still better odds than slowly dying in a dry pool i.m.o
