Analogue line to ADSL Conversion

How Long does this usually take?

They installed my line on Thursday last week, then said it should take around 30 days to convert the line to ADSL?

Is this normal? I thought they only have to go to the Telkom exchange box which is 500m from my house and connect it.

usually depends on the area some area's quick like mine 2 working days hang in boet. who know's maybe telkom will surprise you..... and take longer than you expect.... or take shorter period I have have begun to put it to pure luck

there is nothing to convert, they connect you to the DSLAM on the exchange and that should do it?
