ANC Achievements

I did on the previous page.

In my book, their biggest achievements are :

Averting the debt default we were close to, and then reducing the crippling debt we were in.
Dramatic increases in GDP (PPP) and GDP per Capita (PPP)
Dramatic reduction in poverty

Add in a big increase in our healthcare which was dismal prior to '94 (Remember effective healthcare is a combination of reach and quality. The increase in reach is dramatic, but quality has gone down a bit in places).
The automotive industry has also been a very successful addition to our economy

Thanks to the freedom dividend which was actually squandered on dry-docked submarines and hangered fighter planes.

You think that the media ignores ANC failures.

Lol, lol, lol, lol, lol!

Sure did during the Mandela years they were so far up the ANC's arse they couldn't see the wood for the trees. Just ask a hundred random educated people which ANC administration flushed R10billion down the toilet for useless aircraft, denied Eskom's request to build more power stations and introduced the catastrophic OBE education standard and see how many correct answers you get. Just look on this forum how many people pine for those days when the seeds were being sowed for what's going on now thinking it was a time rainbows and kumbaya and that the ANC had since "changed".

How do you explain this ignorance?

It was PC and the in thing to look the other way.
Those days were anything but good.
People dont know the half of what was going on

Anyone who supports the ANC now, even merely defends them, deserves to be shot in both kneecaps and the lower spine and left to live out their days as such

There. Off my chest. Don't care for the replies :) Nay sayers, high horsemen, trolls and the offended can rot in hell for all I care.

Wooosah son.....wooosah

Just out of curiosity (and hopefully not stoking any of the already-burning fires/anger in this discussion)...

During Apartheid, were the statistical figures not inclusive of the bantustans and townships?

If that is the case, then in terms of accessibility of resources, the ANC has done an "okay" job getting water/electricity to more people(that were previously excluded and not statistically recognized).

While this may push the boundries, it is still freedom of expression. Imagine if that was said about the NP in 1974.
