It is their right if they feel another court can find differently.

They could have done more and saved money by not letting Malema go on singing the song though. The outcry over the song made him sing just to stir up emotion, the populist he is.

Sure it is their right, but then don't tell me that they respect the ruling, because it is obvious that they truly do not.
 
They should just find other things to sing about. In truth you could go a whole day without seeing a white. Why do they lament so? Identify a new enemy and write new hate songs.

I am not surprised by the reaction from the ANC or it's supporters. This isn't a democratic country if races are still being punished for their past sins.

What strikes me the most is how easy it was for Malema to influence the people at large and why there aren't any other black politicians opposing him openly. There must be an intelligent person out there who understands law, economics and this country's history to oppose Malema?

Does Desmond Tutu agree with what Malema says? Does Nelson Mandela agree with what Malema says?

The ANC goal was never democracy.
The goal was always power and loot and most of the ANC leaders (including Mandela) were USSR backed communists with Soviet contempt for democracy.
Nothing has changed.
I suspect that we will hear the song in future more than ever before and any complaints to the police will fall on deaf ears because SAPS is an instrument of the ANC

The thing that is regrettable here is that not a single one of these idiots realizes that the songs words are hate speech. They all claim that heritage are the reasons they sing the song, they sing it to collectively remember, bla bla blah.

If it is alright to sing a song as long as it is not focused on anyone in particular, then can I sing a song that says, bomb the thieving black man? I wont use the K word because that is blatantly racist, but there is nothing racist about these words. And according to their logic, if you are not a thieving black man, then you have nothing to worry about because the words are not directed at you. Because everyone that is fanatically stirred up by these types of words, definitely has the presence of mind to discern the difference between a thieving raping criminal and the average innocent black person roaming the street.

This song would be relevant to our current history and struggle against the rampant crime in the country. So surely it is all right. No adverse harm can come from this type of song.

On a second point, if they are so concerned with the injustice of hiding the heritage and struggle of apartheid, this so called selective amnesia that they talk about. Why then do they spend millions each year on obliterating the history of the struggle? Road names, statues, monuments, city names. It may not be their history directly, but indirectly it is from the era of the struggle, changing them would fall into the same category of erasing the country's heritage as a whole. It is alright to erase that portion of the Country's history, but heaven forbid that we should touch anything of theirs.

They are simply a bunch of overfed, overindulged baffoons with barely enough brain cells between them to rub together.

Precisely...add to that 'hypocrites' and 'racists' and that's the full package.
 
I see De Vos is also pointing out some constitutional issues with how far reaching this judgement is. In fact, he suggests that parts of the equality law on which the judgement is based are likely unconstitutional. He makes the good point that as it stands no one would be allowed to for example air archive footage of the singing of the song, like the ANC may want to do at their centenary celebrations.

Just because he is the most vocal doesn't necessarily mean he knows it all. Lawyers at private law firms who have argued in front of the ConCourt May conceivably be better able to answer some questions and in fact argue better than De Vos.

Jamal's question is not without merit.

After all don't forget that some of the brightest finance minds ran a hedge ground into the ground.

Sorry Ekstasis but I am with Jamal on this one. I worked in tertiary education for a long time and most of these guys with the qualifications have their heads so far up their asses they can smell their own bad breath.

Besides that De Vos is a Douche. He is sucking up publicly for advancement.
