ANC assets saga 'a special case'

Only Zuma - the DA want the protector to investigate whether JZ contravened any laws in this failure to declare on time.

Did I understand it correctly that he wanted this law and fought for it when Mbeki was still prez he was hopping to find dirt? Then Mbeki declared and they found nothing.

His excuse of too many mamas is almost as ridiculous as 'not knowing' if you are a director of a company or not.
And this is the best the ANC can do?

I find it amazing that there is never one story : first there was the story that JZ was attempting to establish via lawyers whether he had to declare and then it takes time because he has so many wives etc. Why can't his team just say we made a mistake and are correcting it, why always the confusing different accounts and then a single answer!

Now we are going to hear about the mansions every one of these whores got.

Special case my ass...does the law have a clause exempting lazy politicians from the rule?

And this is the best the ANC can do?
Hardly, but its the least amount of effort they can get away with.

therefore as the ANC we think that he has shown no disregard for the law
Yes, I can see how the ANC is totally unbiased and objective in this matter. /s

What you have to understand is the fact that the president has more than one wife
Surely our supreme gov can manage the paperwork for 20 people in under 60 days. How bloody difficult can it be. Dozen of houses, shares and vehicles.

it is a different set of circumstances
Gonna try that line next time a traffic cop stops me.

we are asking people to really respect that.
And the people are asking that the prez follow the laws. Is that really to much to ask?

The prez should have come clean instead of fielding a bunch of weak excuses via a spokesperson.

Welcome to politics my noobie friend... when they have problems with you they start leaking all sorts of stories about you. It's the nature of the game.

Zuma 'flouting Constitution'

http://www.news24.com/Content/South...e/09-03-2010-02-19/Zuma_flouting_Constitution

Cape Town - The Congress of the People on Tuesday accused President Jacob Zuma of flouting the Constitution by not declaring his assets.

"In 2005, [former president] Thabo Mbeki fired Jacob Zuma as deputy president of the Republic following the conviction of his financial adviser Schabir Shaik for [an] inappropriate financial relationship with Zuma," Cope deputy leader Mbhazima Shilowa said following the revelation that Zuma had missed the 60-day deadline to declare his personal interests.

"This inappropriate relationship was discovered once Zuma failed to declare his financial interests in Parliament," he said.

Since then, Zuma had continued to receive financial assistance from business people, "ostensibly in return for favours ranging from construction of his Nkandla home to assistance for his third wife with regards to accommodation".

He was suppose to declare 60 days after taking office? And its because of his 3 whores?
I think not.

Not to mention the spate of illegitamate children before marriage. You decide what to call them.

ANC distances itself from spokesman's statement on Zuma
Mar 9, 2010 4:58 PM | By Staff Reporter
The ANC has distanced itself from a statement made by its spokesman Brian Sokutu, regarding President Jacob Zuma not declaring his interests to parliament.
Linky

what do they even mean by that!?

They mean that while Sokutu's statement was a bit silly, they think they can come up with a much more stupid statement.
No doubt Floyd of the "Youth" league will then top the ANC's statement. Then that will be outdone by some or other student body linked to the ANCYL.

In a couple days time, when Zuma stumbles into his next disaster the whole cycle will start again.

A clear case of the ANC's left hand not knowing what it's right hand is doing. So what now, the statement is wrong? Does this mean they are saying the President has broken the law?

Anyway nothing will come of this. I suspect that Zuma could announce to the world he has 50 kids, raped 20 women and stolen half the countries money and he would still remain President.
