Who gives a rat's ass if the North Korean government is even worse than the ANC? That only shows how fcked up North Korea is, not how fcked up South Africa isn't.

That's true, South Africa has problems but people choose to only focus on the negatives and ignore the positive aspects(which in my opinion are for more than the negatives). By focusing only on the negatives it's just contributing to a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I think that there are a large number of people that [-]turn a blind eye to the negative[/-] focus on the positive. (Unless, of course, they vote for purely racial reasons and nothing else.) The positive ones are probably healthier and happier than the ones that speak out when something is wrong. Good for them.

Dude, we know what the positives are: free houses, social grants and the bucket toilet system replaced in three - count them! - three townships!

Oh, and Pietersburg is now called Polokwane. Take that, Apartheid!

Give us a positive that outweighs the 50+ murders per day in SA before you try to take the high moral ground.

Sorry, did I say complaining? I meant "criticising the ANC government for making a pig's ear out of crime prevention and control initiatives due to its rank incompetence and the fact that it spends all its time criticising people for criticising the ANC."

But that's quite a mouthful, so I'll stick with "complaining".

HA Ha! They already flying around spreading swine flu... Anything can happen in our crazy world.;)

Here's a positive for JZ - he cannot possibly be worse than Mbeki. He had imbeciles for ministers, a corrupt government, and total non delivery. JZ may have the same/or not. Time will tell.

But Mbeki was the biggest racist/africanist, and the most blatant supporter of dictatorship and corrupt regimes that I have seen in all of Africa. JZ will never match that. He's too home grown.

The anc has positively affected my life during the past 15 years, hard to believe but ja, they did. Anyway, I think Zuma and the current anc have brought out the best in people. They have brought out the true white supremists, paranoia, anger, insecurities and racists, and the anc have brought out the true black racists, their anger towards poor service delivery, abuse of power, greed, selfishness and incompetence.
 
It's not fair to say that the ANC has done *nothing* positive. They have certainly achieved some important things - a peaceful transition from apartheid to democracy for one thing. That's quite a big deal. A lot of people have been able to enter the middle class. Housing has been provided for millions of people and many more South Africans have access to water and electricity than ever before.

Sure, the ANC is far from perfect, but credit where credit is due.
