Perhaps it's because they arer trying to preserve the modus of the enlightenment, and the achievements it has brought? A Pakistani guy is LIKELY A MUSLIM, and most probably if not certainly wants to move the nation towards sharia law, and thus end the modus that has built England?
It's like asking for an american to vote for a Cuban communist.

Tony Leon , Tony Leon , TONY LEON . Man that guy . Helen Zille is a bit naive , Leon was just a pompous arrogant person . You know something else , thats were DA got the racist tag from . I dont think Zille is a racist like some of people think , she is just a bit naive and because she makes a lot of noise some people think its Mr Leon again .

They were not an alternative during apartheid and they are still not one today. They are simply too small...with currently less than a 1/5 of the electorate they have a very long way to go before they can be considered a viable alternative.
A more viable alternative can only come from the ANC itself considering that all the opposition parties put together barely make up a 1/3 of the electorate. Considering that the likes of PAC and IFP will most likely side with the ANC in a parliamentary vote makes the prospect even more bleak

The question is what is the DA doing to try and lure current ANC supporters into its ranks?. As far as I can see they are doing more to allienate them with their "Fight Back" and "Stop Zuma" campaigns.

People did not vote for obama because of his skin colour, they voted for him because of his VALUES
, for the same reason, an american would not vote for a cuban, german or russian, but then russian Ayn Rand would also be the most popular author, why? because of her intrege and AMERICAN VALUES

You think those white american 18 yr olds who were voting thought about values ?? They just thought " Its time for the blacks to give it a go ". I was watching that stufff , the media went into overdrive with motto " A landmark in american democracy ". But I still maintain they would never have voted with the same vigour if it was the Jacksons or Johnsons , the true slaves .

Winfrey is a massive feminist, yet she didn't vote for Hildawg because she didn't believe in her values. So yes, she is an intelligent woman, a Democrat, she lives in Illinois - she has more reason than most people to vote for Obama since he has obviously displayed his values whilst Senator for Illinois.

"Paki" and "red people" are very derogatory terms, please don't use them on this forum.

Of course, since people of Indian descent (that includes Pakistani descent) have been voted in in the UK. So no, you could have used that as an example. You only cite Africans, or so it would seem.
