ANC set to scrap e-tolls

shouldnt it be the department of transport that makes this decision?

maybe its time parliament was moved to luthuli house?

Doubt they would scrap it.
Didn't they invest umkonto's pension funds into this?
Thought I read that somewhere.

I have a question about this e-toll:

If you at the e-toll booth, and you exit the road the e-toll is on (let say maybe 5km from that e-toll), do they bill you till the next e-toll on that road or do they bill you for the 5km you have been on the e-toll route?

Also, people who are not from gauteng (a car from EC) who drive on the road without that e-tag thing, do they get billed that R1.74 per km?

Why dont they make etoll fixed price in stead of per kilometre?

'cos you will have a hissy-fit if you knew how much you get charged going through the gantry.. regardless of KM traveled. You get billed a fixed rate at every gantry... KM travelled is a guise to butter people up.

You get charged a fixed fee per gantry you pass through.
