The ANC wants Public Protector Thuli Madonsela to release her report on the Nkandla security upgrade, party secretary general Gwede Mantashe said on Tuesday.

"We are concerned with the regularity with which provisional reports from the office of the Public Protector are leaked...We get a debate going on before the report is released," he told reporters in Johannesburg.

"The African National Congress equally demands that the final report by the Public Protector into security upgrade at Nkandla to the public as a matter of extreme urgency."

He said the ANC had instructed government to make available to the public all experts who decided and designed all elements of the security feature at Nkandla.

"These experts must explain their decisions and designs in the public domain," he told reporters in Johannesburg.

"This must be done to ensure that all and any queries that the public may have with regard to these particular issues are tabled and responded to exhaustively."

He said the ANC wanted Madonsela to clarify whether Zuma requested any security upgrades to his homestead.

"Did President Zuma request that a swimming pool and kraal be built and that his wife's tuck shop to be moved from its original position?"

Yes, because if you are going to be corrupt, you are going to do it in writing. Idiotic request.

Okay, so the angle is going to be that he did not directly ask for anything, the people milling around on the site just decided that he needed a pool, a kraal etc.....

Guess all the experts have now already been told exactly what to say as well.

Hmmm, disappointing... Anyhow, Zuma is one phat phantom. I would like to know, the tuck shop, does it have a large Coca-Cola sign?

its hold or exit planning. If the report sinks Zuma they want to put in plan B or C or D before the election

Same reason why Security Ministers may want to leak the report.

Tables are slowly turning

yep
my bet is that Blade is going to say something interesting within the next few days

I'm all agog to witness the showdown - Luthuli House must be a cauldron of unfettered friction. To impeach Zuma or not - either way this fracas, including e-toll, will not bode well for the ANC - they have to decide which of two bumpy roads to take, protect him at the risk of votes next year or boot him and restore a modicum of respect. But, at the end-of-the-day, it is the National Assembly who decides and these MP's have had their palms well-greased already in Mangaung. Interesting times.

And on the Friday when the Zuma copter landed at Zumaville, old Zuma never thought to ask why they were digging a huge hole in his back yard.... Tsek, ANC! We don't want any more African Nkandla Congress lies!

In which camp Gwede. Something does not add up. They must be having one up the sleeve

Never forget this guy (JZ) was chief on intel at the ANC. He's no dummy.

They have everything in place now. This thing has dragged on too long, plenty of time for damage control.

They want to handle any fall out now well before the elections. Mantashe expressed concern about the report being withheld until just before the elections, affecting public sentiment towards the ANC government. I think the same strategy was adopted with Etolls, come election time the outrage will have gone down...media coverge too.

I just took a stroll over to the ANC facebook page, if they don't do anything about this...they deserve everything they got coming their way, the people..she is angry hehe :p

Oh good grief. Working for the ANC is absolutely no indication of intelligence whatsoever.
