ANC - Western Cape independence!

Does this guy honestly still think its just the city we want Independence for? Hahahaha

The WC has about 4.8mil people. You would need majority support.

Judging from Cape Party's website, you're looking at gaining independence for the WC, NC and parts of the EC as well, so majority support will be harder to achieve.
 
Ok, Il say it again. The Cape Party is trying to achieve Independence for the WC.

After that, they will be looking to include some municipalities in the NC and EC.

You still havent really answered my question: why would it be more difficult for us to get Independence on a provincial level, rather than (lol) city level? We've never wanted Independence for CT, always for the province.

Gaining independence on a provincial level is a massive undertaking. There's a lot more support you will have to drum up. Besides the almost incomprehensible logistics involved, the mass public that would have to support your party's (quasi) beliefs of an independent state.

Gaining independence on a city level is just a stupid idea, but as you said, that's not your goal.

Most of the Cape Party's ideals are controversial at best. Convincing the majority of the population to join your movement based on flaky ideals will be highly unlikely... probably impossible.
Secession will undoubtedly create more tension in the country and would spark protest and uprisings. Khutsong on the West Rand is a prime example of what can happen when boarders are shifted. What makes you think it will be any different in the Cape, if not worse?
With SA's shaky history, your secession movement will most likely fizzle out and be forgotten - as it should be.

And beyond attempting to create a non-historic, non-opressed minority little enclave, what is the Cape Parties "cause"

With those figures you'll realise that there are over 5.3 million people in the WC.
Your party's controversial and radical beliefs are going to make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to garner the mass support you need.
With 2,000+ supporters (0.04% of the population), I doubt your "cause" ever gain more momentum than 3-4%.
 
I doubt you ever spent time here in the Cape nor ever talked to ppl down here lately on ur way down to our beaches.
 
just had a long chat to a coloured lady, and she said she just cant understand why there HAVE to be black ppl working in higher positions who are less qualified. Doesn't make any sense. Also, why is there a Congolese car guard when our own people are sitting with jobs?

I think you meant to say without jobs.
Maybe because the Congolese car guard actually looked for a job!? There's nothing stopping her or anyone else from doing exactly the same thing.

See now I read that and I see race issues all over it..

Why does there have to be ANYONE in a higher position who is less qualified than someone else... race is irrelevant to that statement.

And as for the CarGuard, its not like thats a proper job.. but at least the Congolese guy is at least trying to make ends meet however he can.

I think the message is that people in the Cape are different and we should acknowledge that. In that respect, it is relevant. Even the DA seems to distinguish race when it suits them. (Contrary to claims not to see race).

As for the car guard. These Congolese are very troublesome. They aren't just car guards in my experience. The ones I've seen sell drugs, spot luxury cars for hijackers, eliminate local opposition car guards, steal from the neighbourhood and other miscreant activities.
