ANCYL demands change to Constitution

They kinda need a 2/3 majority in parliament, good luck with that

Even though I'm leaving the country, I still believe that without the likes of Juju, SA would have a good chance of coming right. Unfortunately, Juju and his ilk are encouraged and we will head the way of other African countries.

Is this the reason for your departure?

Hmmm, so why don't we nationalize his wealth and just take his land? Farking moron doesn't know that just taking land, and allowing it in the constitution is equal to endorsing theft. Why doesn't the government just make it legal to murder people while they at it? I mean, then the murder rates will drop off completely, and thus the country must be a good place :wtf:

If the ANC has some intelligent people, then it would be lucky if they get 50% for the changing of the constitution. The real fact of life is that Julius tries to justify what he thinks with the idea that it's what the people want, where in reality what the people want is food and housing... So why not try get the farming sector pumping (by giving tax breaks, and actually policing the farms), and then also push forward with the RDP housing. If people have food on the table, and a roof over their heads, then they likely to be more than happy.

the people who think that this is soooooo unlikely?

How do you think it happened already in several other African countries?

As long as they can back up their talk; If this means we will have electricity for the millions without it and less people below the poverty line...AND lessen the HUGE gap between the rich and the poor, who can really argue against it?

Sacrifices will be made, some people will lose in order for the MANY to gain. Put that quote in the history books.

If you think these cretins calling for this **** have the slightest interest in the common people, you must be drunk. :erm:

I'm all for making life better for all, but not by scaring away investment, stealing from people, and building 16 million Rand mansions, while the poor still starve.

If they were fighting corruption and calling for the education system to be fixed, rather than stuffing their pockets, and dragging kids out of school for their rallies....

Lol trust me, I don't expect jack-ish to happen with anything. I don't support any Government across the world because they ALL LIE.

This is just wishful thinking on my part if anything but if they can prove and actually show an improvement for the majority...and according to the definition of 'DEMOCRACY' -- Majority rules.

So if the majority benefit from whatever these "world leaders" do, so be it. But I won't be surprised if it's just all talk.

Heard a similar line before... Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Mugabe, Hitler ...

Well it is a line/philosophy that should be followed but in reality never is. Those people you mentioned made a lot of promises for their people but never deliver, I don't expect any different from any country/nation until the end of time. We just like to lie to ourselves.

How does taking land from people without compensation result in electricity for millions?

Oh wait -- they use the electricity installed already? Would they pay for it, or would it also then be free?

I have no idea as It is not my proposal but I believe and I KNOW we can give people more electricity around this country if we really wanted to but people are too selfish and fool of greed, perhaps someone in the ANCYL has a human heart and actually wants to try to deliver more electricity by whatever means they decide on.

The sad reality is that SA is already a social state. The minority already support the majority, who also benefit via the social grant system. Giving people everything for free entrenches their sense of entitlement.

The biggest problem is unemployment.

Rather encourage the free market system and create jobs to wean off the reliance of the unemployed on the state coffers.
