ANCYL demands change to Constitution

The sad reality is that SA is already a social state. The minority already support the majority, who benefit via the social grant system. Giving people everything for free entrenches their sense of entitlement.

The biggest problem is unemployment.

Rather encourage the free market system and create jobs to wean off the reliance of the unemployed on the state coffers.

For how many years and decades has one being saying this "Create more jobs"

Last year, same thing, 10 years ago, same thing, 10 years FROM NOW it will probably be the same excuse. In reality, the entire world is one huge pile of stinky Hippocrates.

When has SA not had an unemployment problem? If it's not unemployment, it's disease or it's this or that. I hope people realize that we live in a world where the minority support the majority because they WANT IT THAT way. Is there a nation in this world where this is not true? Look at the US(since they are the role models lol), it is the 1% that support the rest, correct?

The minority are the ones that can afford to do it. The entire system needs to be thrown out in my opinion(the fiat/money) and replaced. Lol but I better stop before I get ahead of myself.

So if the minority (us normal taxpayers) stop working and join the unemployed ranks where will the money come from?

I have no idea, that is not up to me. This is why I say the entire fiat/money system is garbage and it is the reason we have a lot of unnecessary suffering today.

Do you actually think we like paying all that tax? Do you believe I want other people to be poor & uneducated. Who is the government in charge and who voted them into power? Because your elected government can't deliver due to incompetence, corruption, nepotism etc etc they now want to take from those that are actually doing something right (private hospitals, private schools, private business etc).

This is the most idiotic reasoning I have heard and due to logic like this we will end up like the rest of Africa, fsck poor & starving amid war. You think people have it bad now, wait until you have nationalised everything. Remember these words, they will become true if this happens.

As long as they can back up their talk; If this means we will have electricity for the millions without it and less people below the poverty line...AND lessen the HUGE gap between the rich and the poor, who can really argue against it?

Sacrifices will be made, some people will lose in order for the MANY to gain. Put that quote in the history books.

Yeah, cos it's always worked out so well for the people in every other place where it has been tried, hasn't it?

Didnt mbeki also try change the constituiion by wanting to allow the president aka himself be allowed to run for a second term? Didn't the ANC get rid of him because of that?

I don't believe the ANC will allow the constitution to be changed.

Goodluck to juju

Pathetic, clearly you misunderstood what I was trying to say, RE-REad what I said, perhaps read it 1 sentence at a time and google the words or ask someone, maybe your older brother or sister to explain if you still fail to understand.

I won't remember any words of your words, that is a fact as they have no basis nor do they help me with anything.

Did I say you didn't like paying tax? Did I say you want people to be poor? Where exactly are you getting this conclusion from?

My point is the ENTIRE WORLD IS one huge pile of hypocrites.

It doesn't matter which Government is elected, they are ALL CORRUPT. Even the top of the food-chain Government(US) is in trouble.

I said, IF...Notice the IF, IF what the ANYCL "world leaders" are suggesting actually works, if they actually prove that they will get the electricity for the millions and help out the poor, SO BE IT, I say so BE IT because it is a MAJORITY RULED COUNTRY, is it not? If the majority decide to name every street "Ponder", who has the right to stop them? Wouldn't that be going against the majority? It doesn't matter how dumb an idea is, thats what Democracy is, whatever the majority decides...It's a rule(if they allowed to vote on it lol).

Constitutionally the president can serve two consecutive 5yr terms.

We already discussed this and I already said above in my post(s) that that quote/line/philosophy is promised by never delivered. I don't expect it to work at all, regardless of which Government is in control. I personally believe Humans are rotten to the core and too greedy to actually want to compromise. BUT maybe, maybe the ANYCL can prove me(us) wrong? Crazier things have happened.

If someone said, they are 10 poor children with no parents etc etc who will now live on your land(and grow their own food) and there is nothing you can do about it. The majority of people, especially in SA would rather let the children die flat out.

It's the same reason why we have million dollar churches with gold ceilings for worship instead of using that money to build hospitals or free housing. We are a bunch of selfish Animals, it is in our core. Survival of the fittest.

My point in all this is, we are hypocrites. We know what is wrong but we won't dare fix it.

Thing is man, there are some pretty kick-ass societies in the world. Given a choice, I think most people would live happily ever after, and this is not impossible.

It's pretty easy to vote for another party to be in government, just mark with an "X". I'm not saying they will be angels and without fault but they sure as hell would be better than the current bunch.

Exactly. keeping a
regardless of which Government is in control
a ****ty Government in charge because you think all are krap is silly.
Secondly you have NO idea whether another party will be bad or not!
No matter what your local sangoma has told you, you CANNOT see into the future.

Durban - A group of people have invaded private land in Hilton outside Pietermaritzburg, claiming it belonged to ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema, according to a report on Monday.

Land owner Rusty Roodt told The Witness newspaper he would approach the High Court in Pietermaritzburg on Monday to obtain a court order to stop people from invading his land.

He said the police had done nothing to stop the land invasion at Winterskloof in Hilton.

One of the land invaders reportedly said: "We are continuing what we started when we marched on Thursday and Friday to reclaim what is ours," in reference to an economic freedom march from Johannesburg to Pretoria led by Malema.

Ja swaer.

The court needs to deal with these numbnuts swiftly and harshly.....

Bloody "We Demand, We will take, It was stolen from us"... its getting bloody irritating now actually.

Oi!! I wish they would grow some brains, and people that is mentally incapable should not be allowed to vote.
No it has nothing to do with education, Common sense has nothing to do with education. It has to do with the amount of grey matter you have between your ears, these idiots obviously has as little as their fat leader.

Watch the constitution..... Zuma isn't changing all the Con-Court judges to cadres for nothing!

Our biggest mistake would be to underestimate him.

'n Skelm is nie stupid nie.

And that is why we have a constitution, to protect the individual from the majority. If the majority decides it's OK to take from others then they are infringing on the rights of the individual. Should we abolish the rule of law then those with the means will leave, then there is no more goose.
