Freedom Front Plus leader Pieter Mulder accused President Jacob Zuma of being out of touch with the feelings of minorities.

He was commenting on Zuma’s reply to statements made during debate on the presidency budget vote in the National Assembly on Tuesday.

During the debate, Mulder said many South Africans were uncertain about the future of the country.

He referred specifically to events during the past few months surrounding ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.

Responding, Zuma said South Africans were optimistic about the country.

This is a very very bad idea.

It's exactly the recipe for building a mass of heavily armed people with nothing to loose and everything to gain through bloody conflict. i.e. an Army. It's how radical extremists operate throughout the world by subverting better noble desires through through their lenses of perversion.

If the government wants to occupy the youth constructively why not put them to work:
- In hospitals and clinics as orderlies and helpers?
- or for that matter schools as caretakers?
- at Public works (roads, streets, waterworks etc etc)
- Bobbies on the beat in the police force as a civilian option? Although that may change imminently....

Remove BEE anyone? Let the people who built the previous businesses build them again so that there is employment and "jobs" and in a generation (> 30 years) there will be real black business owners. BEE could only be the naive mark of an impatient and impetulant youth eager to try flying the plane from reading up on what air is.

I tend to agree. I have shot with SANDF members, with a weapon not my own, and they’re pretty useless. Maybe I was shooting with the scrapings because it was hard to believe that they were so bad.

I guess if you can`t aim, The more your weapons randomly scatter the bullets, the bigger the chance of actually hitting something.

No you weren't, they are generally that bad. SAPS members in general aren't much better either.

On a serious note, Zim's military (teen age) war veterans did all the dirty work in the seizures of farms, maybe the training was requested by Juliass after his visit to Zim
