Its basically more than one disjointed orgasm trying to be star wars. Jesus ep 10 was so badly written and could have been a lot better.

Sniper was never shown, but magically there, so he/she already ID'd everone - in fact, normally before an operation you would already know who is exactly involved working where, so 'that chick' should also be a known person of interest, but no this is star wars smarts for 'that' smart fans.

Of course this is a Braai-Sunday in Coruscant so no surveillance or anyone in the park except invisible shooter(s) for the dramatic effect.

self-KO -> hospital -> shitloads of flashbacks -> chick walks in and of course no scanning, no id, no cameras, just another having a girl under my cloak and walking out without anyone seeing it

Should have been:
  • Now braindead char shows up
  • Altercation and an actual good conversation
  • Insert complete and more coherent flashback here just as the self-KO char is looking down at the knife thinking life over
  • Self-KO turns around falling
  • And seen by 'that chick' observing from somewhere (which btw is the only non mentally castrated char in se2) being shocked horror etc
  • Finally fades to black so we don't know for sure what happened to initial braindead char and and mr Self-KO

Instead we got this rather dumb as **** hospital scene for the smart star wars people being that smart. Remember you can only really understand this being this smart; made for brain dead genz by brain dead genz - this was another The Best episode alongside episode 8.

I realised that Clone Wars is a bit of a gap for me because I think I have only watched it once, it was the worst of the prequels for me.
There is loads of important stuff happening in that movie and perhaps the series that is relevant to all the new content that is coming out now (Mandalorian, Boba etc ).

It's interesting to see how inaccessible some of this SW content is to new viewers.

The Clone Wars series greatly enhances the prequels (Anakin especially is better off for it and it fleshes out his fall to the Dark Side) and it also serves to provide background to Ahsoka. It also digs into the shadowy business going on regards Palpatine and the Empire.

There are guides on Reddit that can filter it down to the good stuff as there are over 120 episodes and some are more filler than anything else, so it can be a tough watch for stretches. The final season is exceptional, though and leads straight in to Revenge of the Sith.

The Bad Batch and Rebels are worth a watch. Bad Batch deals more with the whole cloning stuff and the nefarious goals behind it (Palpatine's return). Rebels digs into Jedi/Force lore.

Tales of the Jedi as well, especially the first season as it shows Dooku's growing discontent with the Jedi and his fall to the dark side.
 
I just finished Rouge One again after watching Andor and it was great to see all the crossover.
The pacing is just off as its a movie and has a different tone to the series.

It is kind of weird how Cassian is 10 years younger in Rogue one :laugh:

The other thing that was also kind of odd was the vibe between Cassian and Jyn. It felt like they were making a connection and perhaps even a romance... which obviously didn't happen. But it also makes no sense that they had a vibe either... Bicks and Cassian were on a break, no little Jedi wannabe would disrupt that.

The entire hospital story was bloat but they wanted to show the history - which was quite important.

IMHO they should have just saved time by having Luthen blow up the antiques shop when Dedra confronted him.

flashbacks could still have been included and for bonus points Dedra survives the blast and still goes to jail.

Which as I said could have been done a lot better and as you have pointed out, but here we are genz for genz trying to be smart.
 
Luthen Rael, portrayed by Stellan Skarsgård, for me is the most intriguing film/television character introduced in Star Wars since the original trilogy. Dedra Meero is a close second, but I am not favorable of how they closed out her story arc. I would like to see more of this coming from Star Wars.

Probably the only two which suffered least to zero agency and mental castration.
