Hi peeps,

Anyone received the update to Android 9 / Pie for Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ ? If so is your phone XFA or XFV? If not does anyone have a date for the release? I know it is January but would like a specific date.

Sammobile reportedly started seing OneUI / Pie dropping for the Note 9 a few hours ago, rumor is its a lot sooner than initially expected (for the Note 9 atleast) - and the S9 / S9+ was going to be here before the Note ... sooo..

Is this in SA or some European countries??
 
I sideloaded the beta for my note 9 from xda and to be honest i really dont like the look of samsungs new ui. Mayb too used to touchwiz but i went back to oreo for the time being....

Used odin used the filmware ARk2 (nov) DBT filmware and the downloaded the beta links to my sim card and the 5th beta makes it official on your phone....

Samsung is useless when it comes to updating to new android versions even though they have a huge amount of developers probably the most in the industry just working on software development.

That's why they still have the market lead on the worst device software support in the world and why they still sell so many devices each year cause it is the only way that you get a new android version on a Samsung
And the Samsung clowns will still keep on buying their crap!!

No, Samsung is pushing out Pie updates around the world. My post, the one above yours, is proof of that. Our local operators (Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Telkom, etc) are the ones delaying the rollout as they have to "test" the update on their network.
