Guys. I'm new to this, so please pardon the n00b

What app can I download to set up VNC on my phone to be able to VNC on my PC

Also bear in mind I have never used VNC from PC to PC before.

I've got a Billion 7404 VGO router and I know I need to open some ports

Please help. This will help me to manage my downloads while not at home

grav

Unless you absolutely must use VNC, rather take a look at this:
www.teamviewer.com

Free for personal use.

The viewer app is on the Android Market.
Very easy to set up and no messing with ports, router configs and the like.

I have been using this for about 3 months now and am quite happy with the performance.

Give me a shout if you need some help.

RealVNC have an adroid app: http://www.realvnc.com/products/android/index.html You would need to install VNC onto your computer and allow it through the firewall. Once that's done it should be easy enough to control it from your phone.

Don't you need an internet connection for Teamviewer?

Also, Lifehacker have an article on Android and VNC: http://lifehacker.com/5838717/the-best-vnc-client-for-android
