Its just on MTN for now, as i need to get my hands on a Vodacom sim to test.

Is it for MTN contract or prepaid. If it is for contract I would buy it if the price is reasonable.
I can test the Cell C one for you if you want, including screenshots of data that they return when you do a *101#

What's a reasonable price anyway?![]()
The USSD app on the market works perfectly, even scans your current network provider for all the available USSD codes, detected *111# as well as *100# (balance) *111*500# (data with exp date) *100*502# (airtime +data in bytes).
Would seem pretty pointless developing 1 specifically for MTN if this app should do the same function, also has an auto check setting, you can have it update on a timed frequency, after receiving or making calls and same for sending sms's and disconnecting from the internet. You can also set the check delay on those last 3 and force it to only check when the screen is off as to not disturb anything your actually busy with.
I would pay anything between R5 and R10. Not really much more, because I can just do it manually.
That USSD checker thing didn't work out for me, because I kept on having to add the stuff anyway, so it was manual regardless. The problem with it is if there are more than two numbers that you have to type in. *111*123# works fine, but if you have something like *123*pin*1 and you have to type in another number it just pops up and ask you to type in that number anyway. So at the moment I have a contact that is *123*pin*1# and then it pops up and I just enter 1 again.
USSD Checker doesn't work on Honeycomb :-( . Works great on my SGS2. Still looking for a solution for my SGT 10.1 on MTN. Need to check data balance on a daily basis. Anyone have a solution?
