Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

Thanks! Will try.

Thanks! Will try.

I have tried this, when I import my PDF's (±613 of them) then it tends to crash at some point and I can never figure out why because it crashes randomly, sometimes after 100 imports, sometimes after 10, very irritating, but I've just started installing it again and will test it again.

EDIT: Yes, crashed again.

I don't mind buying the 'premium' versions so long the FREE versions actually work.
Adobe's reader actually works quite nice, I just don't like the fact that I can't see the covers (so I'm not 100% sure what book I'm looking for) and ya...

ah, i imported over a thousand books and it did almost the same... try smaller groups, maybe there is a bad pdf in there somewhere that the app can't read properly.

I have tried that, I put the books into folders now - Anatomy, Cardiology etc.
Still crashing.
Busy with Mantano reader now...

oh yes, ok... no, i don't think you can

I've sent a e-mail to the makers (via the support desk)
I'm actually going outta my way here to give this application a chance...
The other 2 mentioned work fine... except the 1 (can't remember which one) wants you to purchase the premium version to open PDF's

Probably moon reader, but I bought the pro within minutes of trying it out, long before I got anywhere near it with pdf files. Its book and position backup came in quite handy when they stole my tablet while I was reading, when insurance got me my new one, I installed and linked up and within second I was rite back where I left off.

I also don't keep all my books on my device, I use calibre to handle all of that for me and MR hooks directly into that, and for remote usage I have claibre cloud which hooks into dropbox where my library is stored so I download them as I need them.

EDIT: Imported a PDF quickly, not only does it store your page, it also stores your zoom level, so when opening it jumps back to your page and then zooms it in, only thing I had on my tablet was the healthy food catalogue from discovery.

I'm looking for a dialer with call blocking and sms. I have several Samsungs that come standard with blocking apps. What dialer or other app can I add on my Alcatel to do the same. Pixi 2.

I use callmaster, it is the best, but requires root

Okay, so I found issues with Moon+ Reader Pro

Firstly, doesn't seem to import all PDF's - I have about 630 PDF's, it only imported 615.
That's 15 not imported and I can't even tell you which ones it didn't import.
Then I found a few PDF's that it imports but are completely BLANK.

I e-mailed Aldiko about the issues I found and he basically (bluntly) told me that it's the way it is and won't change it or fix the issue.
Which is stupid as far as I'm concerned because I have a whole 32GB SD Card for my ebooks but he wants to make it that the program IMPORTS (copies it) to your DEVICE which doesn't nearly normally have enough space.
I think he designed it for the average JOE who only has a couple of ebooks.

Montano was just completely a waste of my time.

I've e-mailed the created of Moon+ Reader Pro but he hasn't bothered to reply.

Any other suggestions... SEND IT! :)

Never tried importing that many pdf's, I also avoid them at all costs, if I cannot find a book in an actual ebook format I just tell calibre to recode the pdf, that way I don't have to zoom and it falls into all my exisitng, font, line and paragraph settings.

Also, you don't actually need to import any of them, just add a new folder under my files.

Why not use the best Android app made for this, ala Google Play Books.

You upload your pdf/epubs to your library and then simply use the Google Books android app to read em?

Best part about this is that you can pick up any book on any device you have. Start on phone and continue on tablet and finish on PC. The books do get cached to the device if you need offline support. Also includes the power of google search if you looking for something in one of the eBooks.

Would like to do a screen mirroring setup between my phone and pc, while able to control the phone through the pc via mouse and keyboard.

Suggestions?
