Got a cool little app to use with wifi if you have more than one network and you like to use static IP's.

You can set up all your networks with their static IP's and let it auto switch to the new settings when you have better cover on the other network. So mine is set so that its on at work on our network there, and then when I get home, its set to another IP and connects to my home network. :)
 
Is anyone able to confirm beautiful widgets is working on their phone?
I set it all up and it shows the temperature and time and everything, what it does not do is show the small weather icon that tells you if its raining/overcast/sunny. I just get a blank space. If i tap in the blank space it does come up with the detailed 4 day forecast.
Not sure why that icon does not show :-/.
 
Cool app: Wifi Analyzer

Used to scan what wireless networks are around, how strong their signals are, and what channels they are running on. Been using it at a few clients lately, and it's great to see if any channels are overlapping, or visually showing them the signal is not strong enough. And it's free:-)
 
So it seems as if Beautiful Widgets does not like Durban. :-/.
I set my location to JHB and it works fine.
 
If anyone has Beautiful Widgets can they set their location to Durban and see if it displays the weather :-/.
I give up with this thing. Still waiting for a reply from the developers.

Set mine to Durban, working fine.
 
Yeah the latest update (version 3.03 i think) has it working now. Guess i should pay more attention to updates that get released :p

mine shows everything but seems to lose the info during the course of the day. linked to internet usage sometimes. but i usually tap it and it updates pronto...schweeeet program
 
I found if i have my data connection disabled everytime it updates automatically the time freezes till i re-enable the data connections and manually update.
 
Name is pretty much self explanatory, Paul at Modaco has a app of the day and you can check it out and add comments if you like and all that. Very nice IMO.
