I see a lot of Android users dont' even know about this.
If you're running 2.2, you can send text from your pc to your phone wirelessly over your google account. It's instant and I use it every day. Just type up your sms on your pc (in notepad or in the start/run window) and copy / cut to the clipboard. Then go to your firefox and if you have the fox 2 phone plugin installed, rightclick on the icon and select send clipboard to phone.
Almost immediately your text will be on your phone's clipboard and you can just paste it in an sms window. Ironically Chrome can't do this!
You can right-click any text or images or urls in your browser and select send text to phone, or simply click the icon next to the address bar and the page will open up on your phone.
But the send clip-board to phone is pretty awesome.
