Having used Android since version 2.2 (froyo), there are thing on here that I find really shocking are not included by default, and we have to resort to workarounds to resolve...am currently on Oreo, and these things are still not fixed.

Disclaimer: I may be wrong, or maybe too dumb to figure out how to do these things. Am sure you clever people will be able to educate me.

When sending photos by email, there is no option to resize the photos? Considering Gmail has been around for a very long time, surely this must be a must have feature for any mail app?

Yes, I have a resizer app on my phone, but having to resize, then send is definitely a workaround.

With camera resolutions going up, files produced are typically 4mb and upward. My guys in Angola and DRC send me pictures of an installation with 5-6 pics, and the email size is 20-30mb. Really?!!!

I use Piktures as a gallery replacement. When you share to email it gives you this:

Do you use your phone a lot for mail? If you do have a look at aquamail. Imo it's the best mail app available which includes an image resize option.

Use Google Drive or Photos...
This is what I need.....

1. Compose/Reply to mail
2. Attach photos
3. Choose size
4. Send.

It not a hard ask. And it's not like a lot of people don't want the same thing. There are a gazillion workarounds. There shouldn't be.

I have had Sony, Sony Ericsson, Sony, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Nexus over the years. Now am on Xiaomi.

Does it matter?

Of course it matters. The Android experience is not universal across different manufacturers. On Samsung devices, open the image in gallery, then select share, then choose email, and select resize image.

Will have a squizz. I have used Blue mail, Type App, Inbox, default mail app, Gmail, mymail so far.

With equal amounts of success/irritation

You bought the Pro version?
Yes

Give the free version a go. I think it allows up to 2 boxes.

Edit. If you do like it, make sure you backup your mail settings to drive. This way when you change phones or whatever all your settings etc are backed up. Aquamail has a ton of features.
