Android TV BOX compatible with Google Home Mini?

Manufactured and imported by the same guys.

SDMC are (wait for it) massive when it comes to Android boxes and are probably the top 3 in the world. They make for everyone - but they often white label
Lol Ive checked out sdmc in the early stages of the lit thread. That's good news, they seem to have decent support and now the boxes will ne more readily available. Hopefully at a better price than the lit.

I'm not sure on pricing right now... But it won't be lower or even match the LIT off the shelf :( The LIT is an incredible price for an Android TV box with the right certifications....perhaps subsidized through the operator?

The Xiaomi Mi S is about the right price for an Android TV with the certifications, so it'll be closer to that.

Pretty much the same hardware spec as other Android boxes out... So don't expect anything different to what is already available.

The main difference is its off-the-shelf and not tied to an operator who may not have stock all time and people are battling to get it.
Similar to this then ?
CPU: Amlogic S905X, Quad Core, 64-bit GPU: ARM Mali-450 (penta-core) RAM: 2GB DDR3 ROM: 8GB

Where will this be sold , where can one have a lookout for it ?

Pretty much that, yup.

Just think LIT that you can buy online without the need for contracts etc.

I think you'll start seeing it in the next few days on MyBB - so keep an eye out in this section :)

Hi Guys,

Seeing as I have a google home mini unopened yet, I'm looking to get a compatible android based device that i can control with the mini, things like Netflix / Spotify and maybe even the built in media player (volume, pause, play) etc

The one reason why I haven't just bought a Chromecast yet is the reliance of linked devices to the Chromecast, the little one doesn't have a phone or tablet to link to it in the event she wants to watch a movie or something.Perhaps I'm being daft on this but it seems like every review says it needs a phone or something linked?

Looking at Skyworth Binge Android TV Box, its appealing because it can take USB devices and act independently without linked devices.
I cant really afford the Mi Box at this stage so that's out of the question
Esquire has the Chromecast for R799 at the moment, whereas the Skyworth is R899 if I'm not mistaken,so something in that price bracket

Any help/suggestions/advice appreciated

Thank you

Have you considered the new Ematic Android TV box?

It's basically an unbranded LIT Box that's available without all the fuss of dealing with Telkom?

Get the best of Chromecast and having a remote control?

It's a bit more than your budget, but probably worth it!
