Android Updates

Hey everyone

Just wondering if Vodacom will be releasing any Android updates for the HTC magic anytime soon?

apparently the operators have to release the updates.

We are still only on 1.5

Any news would be great.

i think they have only updated the app market. not the actual version of android.

When you go to that link it gives you a few options...firmware being one of them. Not sure what version it is though as I dont have a htc.

It's the same 1.5 version that's been there since around August 2009. I just downloaded it and compared it to the binary I still had lying around. 100% match.

Right now I'm feeling HTC Support (of Android phones) == Pathetic

There's Android 1.6, and 2.0...

I spoke to Leaf's CEO and he said 'no time soon', but later I spoke to the help desk and they said we'd be upgraded early 2010 - Jan or Feb.

Who knows?
