I've been using NRG Music Player for some time now, but have moved to doubleTwist Music Player since their latest update.

Does it work?
Specifically, how successful have you been in learning a language from it?

It uses a gamification system to progress which I've always been skeptical of in the past as it seems like another buzzword but I can see the efficacy of it here.

I've only used it for a few days in Spanish but so far I feel that my retention level is very high - maybe 80-90%. Anyway it's 100% free so there's no harm in trying it out; it's been coming in all the top 10 lists of 2013.

No it doesn't. It's very euro and us centric unfortunately. I would love the option for Afrikaans.

Works very good. Have been using it for a while. I think it was named Android's app of the year 2013 (or something like that)

The stock alarm allow you to name the clock. "Note" was not the right word, but the same thing. But I think I'm derailing the thread with my opinion.

Wow. It's so nice to be able to exclude folders! I installed quite a few icon packs recently in various folders and they were cluttering up the Gallery. It's all clean now .

I wouldn't recommend Perfectly Clear as a main camera app. It's strength is touching up photos, which I do manually with it as needed.

For a dedicated camera I would recommend Cameringo or Camera Zoom FX. Both are excellent, and certainly better than stock.
