Can't you do that through Google search too, search for the app and it offers a link to it on your phone

If you need a search facility for your app drawer, perhaps it's time to tidy it up? I hide all apps also present on my homescreens, keep games in a separate tab and use vertical scrolling within tabs. Looks very neat and doesn't even look like there are many apps installed.

Search by app works best with Action Launcher. Search apps from the home screen directly - no need to go to Google, or inside an app drawer. It also implements the scroll by letter - really well done.

yeh, scroll by letter is my main way of finding apps. keyboard takes a split second longer to open and start typing that it is for my to swipe right (on action launcher) or swipe up (on nova launcher) and start scrolling

As far as shopping lists or any note taking goes - Evernote. I've tried many others even OneNote but I always come back to Evernote

I use Evernote extensively, but Tasks is better for to-do lists and shopping lists. Tasks has a very nice widget too.

Wunderlist FTW!

Wunderlust looks cool. Will need to try it.

I like Out of Milk because it is simple a Shopping List app that can sync the list between devices + it syncs to the cloud so I can manage my list on my PC if i want to: http://www.outofmilk.com.

I created one account on it for both me and my wife - so it syncs our list on both phones... I often tell her to add stuff to the list when I go to the store. As you pick up things in the shop you can tick them off from the list...

Out of Milk doesn't look half as good though... and you are forcing sharing where Bring! has it natively.

I dont care much for the looks. I just want simplicity & functionality. I will play with Bring some more to see how well it syncs.

Just tried Wunderlist and it seems to work very well. I like that it has alerts when someone adds something to the list - but this also means that it has to run constantly in the background (battery + ram implications etc).

Does Bring have alerts when someone adds things?

I use color note. It syncs lists/notes between my mobile devices with no problem.
