Android Useful Apps

but that's the way that works for me as well. try the other way

open camera, take photo, close camera, open tapatalk, click plus button, click paperclip, choose gallery, choose photo, wait, and fail...
That's the way I added both the pics in my earlier comments.

A problem I have found is that refresh does not always work on "unread" and "participated". I had to close the app to get them to refresh.

I tried now and it said upload of file failed. 3.6mb photo from the gallery.

Tapatalk version 4.9.5

I must be honest and say I agree with CB - the new Tapatalk is better than I thought it would be, judging from current feedback on it.

Its k@k. I still hate it.
Gave it a 1 star which is still too much.

I have to resize the photo to 25% in gallery first before it uploads using the method you mention Fanie. Fails every time otherwise.

I'm wary of Samsung apps, lost too much with something going wrong with their sync from s-note. I've tried dozens of note taking apps and the thing that grates me the most is more than 99% of them hide your notes in the /data partition in a proprietary format (saving stuff in /data can be disastrous if the partition size is limited). Hovernote at least allows you to save your notes anywhere you want in .txt format.
Simplenote is the best note app/platform I have found , you can sync it with resophnote desktop program that will store the files as txt

I like and use Simplenote. If you install the dropbox add-on, it automatically syncs to dropbox. However, it also hides your notes in /data. To access them from another app (without dropbox) you need to have auto-export on and you cannot get its auto-export to save to the external sd card.

Unfortunately, it does not give you an option to view what is on dropbox.

Why don't you guys just use Evernote, seeing as it's expressly intended to sync notes between all devices? It's one of my most used programs, both on desktop and mobile. It's free too.

Google Keep has replaced Color Note as my trusty notes application, the day it got released.

Multi-platform, alarm notifications and free.

I did actually ask myself why Evernote is still being used at all.

Why don't you like Evernote?

I tried Keep when it first appeared. It looked like a sticky note facility, so I uninstalled it.

I also use Keep. Simple and sync very fast between devices. You can also share notes with other users and edit the notes together. Like a shopping list or "friends invited to braai" list.

Evernote is a great app, but why use a 3rd party app when you can use Google's one?

It doesn't seem like you guys are aware of how powerful Evernote is. I'm pretty sure Keep couldn't come close to replicating it's functionality.

Keep does exactly what I want from a notes app, I use Microsoft OneNote and Microsoft Word for more advanced stuff.
