Durban - Angry pupils have torched their school in Mariannhill, near Pinetown, because of a lack of teaching materials, Isolezwe newspaper reported on Wednesday.

ISizinda Secondary School pupils burnt down three classrooms on Tuesday after complaining that the principal was failing to provide them with necessary school material, such as furniture.

The paper reported that pupils boycotted classes two weeks ago because of a similar complaint.

It was believed the pupils set refuse bins alight and threw them inside the classrooms.

I will never, ever, ever be able to understand this...

Then they complain about there being not enough schools.

I lived in Pinetown! Hey at least Africa taught these kids something...lack of resources...lets burn down the school and not think about what the repercussions will be

There is no repercussions. That is the biggest issue.

The awkward moment when you realise you don't have any classrooms either

That is when you start to beat up the teachers. It is after all their fault.

And now what?

AMAAAANDLA!!

'n Maand wat? 'n Maand-lang strike?

I completely understand this.

Their parents vote for the ANC. The ANC don't deliver on their promises. They strike and cause chaos by burning stuff etc.

Next election:
ANC makes the same promises. The ANC don't deliver on their promises. They strike again and start burning stuff etc.

If your parents don't take responsibility for their own lives, and just blame everyone else, why would the kids do any different?

Well they solved their own problem. Can't complain about there being a lack of anything at the school if there is no school!

Fine. Don't rebuild it, and bar those pupils from following any education at all during their lives. It is what they want. Let them live in the gutter.
