Angry pupils torch school

Why burn their own schools you ask? TO GET ATTENTION.

Why not ‘get attention’ by burning a fat cats office? Municipal education administration buildings? That would motivate the lazy, corrupt buggers to get their finger out. But no, “Let’s burn-down our school, then we don’t have to exert ourselves and make any effort. More free time to toyi-toyi and get drunk”.

Dumbo twats! And they are retards because they keep burning their schools. No sympathy at all.

point is, the buildings are useless as a 'school' if there is no furniture, no textbooks, no facilities. They are no worse off than they were before they burnt down the buildings and may actually be better off since now at least they are in the media so government will take notice of their needs. They are frustrated and pissed off, I understand where they are coming from.

I quite liked one of the comments that went something along the lines of: The petrol price is too high, I'm torching my car!

There really is a significant lack of understanding consequence in ZA culture.

Cutting off nose to spite their faces... Typical...
I think they understand consequence just fine, which is exactly why they did it. After being ignored for years now they will get the attention they need.
If the petrol price was so high that your local petrol station never got any, was always empty so you couldn't ever get any, so your car is totally useless anyway and if you know that in the area next door people have plenty of cheap petrol you might get so frustrated and pissed off that you burn down your petrol station, which is doing nothing for you. You are not losing anything because there was never any petrol for you anyway.

And thems keep justifying this type of action  Change your mindset to not justify and it may start a chain reaction ...... until then, idiot antics for the win huh.

W.T.F. are you smoking?

This mentality keeps Africa behind the rest of the world.

People can be taught without books. Sure, books make it easier, but the absence of books does not eliminate teaching. Only now they will have to do that out in the cold, under a tree, in the rain. Still think that building is useless? When they do get books (now that they are "noticed"), where will they use it? Out in the cold, under a tree, in the rain?

When you burn down your local fuel station it helps you nothing. You still have to go next door for petrol, and even if your local gas station were now able to get cheap petrol they will not be able to supply it to you because you burned it down. And you still have to go next door to get gas.

You obviously have no ****ing concept of consequence. You only have this dumbass Africa mentality of I [-]want[/-] demand right now and I will destroy anything I feel like until my demands are met, without any consideration what those actions may cause in the future.

Ignorant ****.

I agree with you, the world is simply not that nice. It never has been. No one cares about YOUR CHILDREN, but their own, thats it. We are forever entangled with useless arguments about skin color, look around MyBB...no look around SA, what are we REALLY known for? Apartheid/Segregation well into the 21st century and here we are today still talking about it, lol.
No Mandela?
No World Cup?
No World Cup Rugby?
No Minister Of health telling people to eat garlic to cure HIV? ( very Funny on a TV series when they mention this )
No President that said HIV does not cause Aids?

If we are known for Apartheid. The ANC surely failed to make any impact, Impression or anything on the world.

It’s all the fault of Bantu education and the legacy of apartheid. If our demunds are not met, we burn down the schools. More free time to make babies. Viva!

Really? you have experience in being taught without books, furniture or resources? Did your school get you through matric with just an empty building?

They have every right to demand a decent education

Most of what I learned in school I learned from listening to the teacher. The books were a helping resource. And if I had to sit on the floor listening, I still would have listened and still would have learned something.

They have every right to demand a decent education
And yet they have no right to burn down the buildings.

Ignorant ****.

I never said they have a right to burn down buildings, all I said was that I understand why they do it and that they know full well the consequences of doing so.
They will be arrested and will face the law, I don't have a problem with that.

What does **** mean and who is that aimed at?

the biggest problem with this is the acceptance of it. You can understand all you want of why they did it and put it "as too get attention" but what happens when burning down a school becomes normal and all the failed schools out there are doing it to get attention.. what would the next step be "to get attention".....rape and kill the principal?

Angry pupils have torched their school in Mariannhill, near Pinetown, because of a lack of teaching materials
Lol and now they won't have a school either. There's no cure for stupid.

If the burning of schools becomes normal then perhaps all these crappy and undeveloped schools will be rebuilt! The Government has more than enough money to fix but they are all crooked, DA and ANC included. This is the whole point.

Why would they jump from burning the schools to rape and murder of the principal? Maybe their is a few extra steps in between like threatening to burn down the next closest school? Point is, these kids need help and no one is doing anything.

Typical MyBB users to call these kids stupid just because they can't wear the same shoes. Once again, these kids have been waiting for YEARS to get better education equipment and NOTHING, ZIP NADA has happened. At least they have the balls to do something, here we have Telkom scamming for generations and all we do is bitch about it on MyBB and nothing has changed.

Bravo to kids, I for one understand.

Yes! Go burn down your local Telkom exchange!!! That will give you the attention you need, and have a positive effect.

Luckily for me I don't plan being scammed for decades as I have my business expanding world-wide so I'll be out of here soon enough, with that said.

My point is they are taking action, probably the only action that they can take. This method has worked for other small and ignored communities, I wish these kids luck.

But yes, in a way, if YOU or other people who are frustrated with Telkom want something to be done, burning your local exchange would at least get it on the news and MAYBE if Telkom wants to, when they rebuild your exchange they would add 10mbps and more ports.

HA, thats the thing, you can probably burn 50 of Telkom's exchanges and they wouldn't do ANYTHING because they are the Kings and we are the fools, hence thats why YOU and I sit here and complain about Telkom on MyBB knowing NOTHING will ever change ;)

It's not a cry for attention in that emo psychological insecure way, like cutting.

It's about asking for a decent education, being ignored, asking, being ignored, asking, being ignored, etc, etc, for many years.

Finally, last resort, burn down some classrooms - ah, that got your attention - now you can't ignore our situation anymore - it's in the media, everyone knows about how bad things are, now it's time for you to do something about it.

Let's ignore the part where they're getting what their parents voted for for now.

There are other ways of getting exposure via the media. Service delivery protests and tyre burning seem to do rather well. Heck, go set fire outside the councillors office if you must. But why burn something that you will need once your issues are addressed?

So who is to blame? Off course 17 Years of ANC rule and corruption. Thank your kings in the like's of Zuma and Malema. Unfortunately the same idiots that could do something for it again voted ANC in this round. So I hope the pricks are better of than before burning down the school and get what they deserve. No education!.

Well that's what we voted for just a week ago. And guess who these parents voted for? Sorry, zero sympathy from me. Time to learn the hard way!

+1, they brought this on themselves.
How can anyone complain about services when they keep voting for the same party that continuously fails to deliver.
