annual increases

I don't think I will get an increase this year. My colleague overheard my boss talking to the manager that there won't be any salary increase this year because more people will be hired, so they want to save money. :(

I got a 25% increase, now (a month later) I realise that it's too little, I still want more.......

Got inflation + 8% this year, but got 40% last year after raising the issue that I was being underpaid according to market value of my job description.

Interesting, so how do you find out what is considered to be "market value" for what you do?

Just because you're settled in a job, doesn't mean that you shouldn't keep up to date with market trends.

Occasionally, a little research into jobs with similar responsibilities to yours doesn't hurt. It allows you to establish some boundary conditions, that at other companies you may fall in the range Rxxx k - Ryyy k per annum.

I got told that i'd get 10% increase 3 months ago, still waiting for it.

i haven't stayed long enough at a company to get an increase in the last 3 years :D
job hopping is much more lucrative.. screw what the recruiters think!

Maybe we should start a huge Mybb strike, we demand 15% increase, with R1500 housing allowance....

That's not a bad idea I think together we can bring the IT industry in other words the whole country to a standstill.

Count me in...

I am still so mad... Considering initiating the grievance procedure...

How much is your salary? Depending on how high it is that might not be a bad increase in this economic climate.

Maybe spend a little less time on MyBB?

/ducks!

No, I am good at my job. Brilliant delegator... My KPA was ranked comendable - But hey, if they want to pay peanuts - I can monkey around...
