Another big update

There are two methods. One involved adding an extra line to one of the ini files, but WoW overwrote my change for some reason. The other was adding a parameter to the WoW executable. I found it on the Prophecy forums in the 4.0.1 patch notes.

I didn't notice any immediate differences, but I didn't look too closely. One thing I did notice is when I alt-tabbed out of the game the last drawn image from the game will remain. I had to switch to another running program (FireFox) to replace it, so I disabled Dx11 again.

@Dx11 comments:

The noticeably differences are shore line water rendering, sand storm particle effects,slight changes to the water rendering with ripple effects, thou the water lacks caustics, god rays, and some other effects that make it look realistic. Also with DX11 enabled your reflection is alot more detailed against water bodies. Lighting is also better, sun shafts look superior with it enabled. So there is quite a bit of difference if you look for it.

i get same problem with my dx11.

sounds like your card might not support dx11 correctly, or using an old instruction set.

Yes wow coding sucks, i would love see you do even 0.0001% what those guys are capable of. You should really not make comments on game engines. As it shows you no next to nothing.

no i mean the engine, there is loads of guys wanting to use there full power of there rig that they worked hard for, but cant as engine is like 10 years old >.<

i spend atleast 10k on my rig just to get 50-60fps in 25 mans, where lesser rig should gotten that fps, if it used the resources right.

The engine is being kept standard purely for the ability to be able to run on Mac OSX which is open gl.

bugger those tree-hugging hippy b*stards only thing mac is good for is multimedia, and those people dont play games, they got their heads stuck in a speaker

Just would like to ask i some of you guys are getting bad ms (lag) on the eu servers? Im on a 4m line with mweb btw.

Mweb has the worst peering/ latency at the moment most if not all people using mweb for gaming are having severe latency, there is a mweb gaming thread in the adsl dicussion where this has been going on for about just over a month, and mweb are blaming blizzard, then blaming cisco, then blaming telkom, then this, then that. Your best bet is to find a better uncapped option, open web gold perhaps or somthing similar, i do not believe for a second that mweb will fix this issue as they would have done so by now.

yes you need to sue proxy with mweb, they messed up atm, i get 320ms with mweb, with reduce your lagg proxy service

To quote your earlier post "do not make comments on... it shows you know next to nothing". Same applies with the latency problem here to you.

Really you troll? Why not go take a look at the mweb gaming thread, and read what people are saying there, actually my work colleague has mweb and WITH lowerping his latency is 2k. He go's to webafrica and its 230ms. Now go back to your bridge you have no power here.
