The ANC, and by name, Thabo Mbeki, abolished the commando system in 2003 and pledged that it would be replaced with a component of the SAPS.

Now it's 2013, ten years later, and we are still waiting for that component.

My exact thoughts, according to stats 50 people died today, mostly black folk. Why is there is no genocide talk when it comes to black folk killing each other in brutal ways and why does a farm murder always get reported but not a single thread is ever created about the other murders?

So many deaths in a day but let two white farmers die and suddenly it's a national crisis and genocide but 30 black folk are killed a day and that isn't genocide. How come? It gets old, compare the number of people who have been murdered on farms to people in a township and the genocide aspect is ridiculous, it is like the anc blaming apartheid for everything, gets old very fast. Terrible that we are in this situation but stop saying it is genocide when the stats do not back up the genocide theory. If there was any genocide it would be the black folks who are really taking the brunt of the genocide daily not white farmers.

I think unemployed people make up most of the other victims, you seldom read a story where the victims profession isn't mentioned.

Let's take Jannie du Plessis. He is in his 60s & attacked by most probably four to six, or more, youths, cos they are all cowards.

Why did they have to shoot him in the stomach?

If I start posting pictures here of farmers whose throats have being slit, burned with irons, shot in the face, stabbed more than 100 times, heads beaten open with iron rods, stabbed through the neck with a garden fork, part of head chopped off, etc., I wonder how long it will stay here before being sensored by mods.

Is that just 'normal' crime?

What about baby rapes and muti murders? Are those 'normal' crimes?

Sadly it is normal crime bud, gang raping a girl and murdering her in a township, why is that different because she wasn't a farmer?

And the black/indian/coloured people this is done too? It's not genocide then, only if you're white?

I am with you on this one. I have shared the same sentiment in a previous thread about this. In hindsight, maybe it receives so much attention because it is an attack on a vital part of our economy (i.e. food production) or so...

Heck, I wouldn't even take it as far as saying white farmers vs. black township residents... I have read where many for instance white people have been attacked in equally gruesome ways in the city, so I don't understand why the farm attacks are focused on in seclusion so much, maybe for the above reason, I don't know. But my opinion is that there are equally gruesome attacks happening in large(r) numbers elsewhere as well (race/socio-economic status etc aside).

Whatever the reason, this, and all these other attacks on whoever, wherever remains disgraceful and tragic. I think as a resident (any resident) of this country we are forced to hope and pray that it will not be us one day regardless of where we live.

Strongs to the farmers (an anyone else unreported) that have been a victim of such a crime.

that is a VERY simplified definition of genocide. now how does genocide differ to murder?

you said deliberate killing, deliberate from who? the ANC? the ANC is useless, corrupt, pathetic and idiotic, but they're far from being sinister and organised enough to kill off white people. i'm assumignthe ANC because "they disbanded the commandoes" :rolleyes:

and further more, then a white farmer is murdered brutally, and the next week the same murderer goes and rapes and murders a black woman. is this still a person intent on genocide or a sick individual?
