Another fun filled station wagon thread

Entirely different and non comparable scenarios. Can't compare to financial decisions which affect lives and safety daily, which in most cases indicates a good product. Everyone just knows VAGs are good products. Besides being reliable and holding value, their models also transcend the various levels of affordability, not just catering for one/few markets.

Was just having a bit of a laugh:).there's no doubt that vw makes reliable cars. And dsg is great. I just find them boring is all.

That's why you should look at Audi VAGs instead, they use DSG too. ;)

Personally I'll buy manual as long as possible.

Reliable.... or flammable? :D Provided there is a big enough chemical explosion. In which cases the same applies to all other cars. So rather go with them. Especially station wagons.

That is like telling someone that wants to get a rock to get a stone instead. It is the same thing.

Passat stationwagon

The Audi 80 is a compact executive car produced by the German manufacturer Audi (initially known as Auto Union and Audi NSU Auto Union) from 1966 to 1996. It shared its platform with the Volkswagen Passat from 1973 to 1986 and was available as a sedan, and an Avant (Audi's name for a station wagon).

Thanks for this thread. I would never have known that 5-door coupes existed otherwise... :D

So what we learn from the B1 is that Audi=VW and that simply because the A3 sportback was not invented yet is no reason to not call a stationwagon a sportback. They were considering it at the time but the problem was they wanted to give the buyer the option of a sports pack in a station wagaon and then you would end up with a Sport pack Sportback and that would be a bit much.

No, it does look like a station wagon, you have it wrong.

Yes, it does look like a station wagon, you got it right.

Wagon, it has that in the name because that is what it is. Sport Wagon = Station Wagon

This thread has made me miss my 2009 Audi A3 2.0 TFSI Sportback :( Now there was a car... thinks about swopping A4 for RS3

I'll take the "stationwagon" anyday...
