I referring to the Departmental policy for the funding of NGOs catering for poverty stricken individuals. Those that make provisions for mainly white squatter camps are having their funding halved or even cut off as their charity is not benefitting a cross section of people proportionate to the overall population.

I'm sorry, but poverty is poverty. Does it matter that their beneficiaries are mainly white, they're living below the bread line? If they die is it not the same death?

I agree, but do you know this caused me to look up what affirmative action meant, and the Mirriam-Webster dictionary defines it as "an active effort (as through legislation) to improve the employment or educational opportunities of members of minority groups or women"

By that definition I would think that SA's AA policy is just straight racism because it neither puts foward the interests of a minority group nor does it promote the interests of women.

Hilux's dont grow on tree's. They had to call it something. It was racism, but not more than any other country had. They just made it law.

I blame the apartheid government just as much as the ANC. Funnily, did you read that indian newspaper column I put in the bullard thread? Was how India was able to keep a stable economy after colonialists left.
