I've got the LG. Picture good, sound quality crap. 1080p content looks good. Local TV looks good, although SABC news looks kak with the new letter-box kak. USB port plays most media I've tested.

A higher resolution is good if you are sitting close to the screen, but 32" is quite small so if you sit several meter away it makes little difference.

if you have other samsung devices then go with the samsng. i bought a D550 with their "allshare" a few months back for R3500. fotacats had them. i would've loved a "smart" TV but who's got that kind of money
