So would you say there is really no difference between that and the smart, i'm just wondering if it will be worth that extra 1.3k, don't wanna be like 2 months later and say omf shoulda paid that extra bit.

The 2 models have the same image quality IMO. My mate bought the 46ES6200 (which is 'edge-lit') and uses it for the same purposes as we use the 46EH6030 (which is back-lit). I haven't been able to do a side-by-side comparison, but have experienced both TV's and both are equally clear and responsive. If one has no need for the Smart features of the ES, it's a no-brainer

So my key points here:

*Must have 3D
*Easy to set up with the pc
*Full HD obv
*Will be used alot for gaming,mostly your sport/arcade games, as I use my 24inch for rpgs and fps

I had the same requirements, and after much investigation (side by side comparisons etc) I bought an LG cinema 3D TV.
I have no regrets at all, and have recommended it to friends that were looking at Samsung TVs. They ended up more impressed by the LG. The most recent purchase by a friend was for R8000, a 42" Cinema 3D. I can't remember the exact model number, but I know that it is newer than the one I have.

A smart TV is nice to have besides being able to use it to browse the net by just plugging it in to a router, DLNA is great if you want to play content from a windows 7 PC or WHS server by just browsing from the TV and selecting with the remote what you want to play it streams HD with no hassle plug and play.
