Hi,
Vox moved me over from 100/50 to a 100/10 line on 1 March
I share videos, upload to my ftp, backups etc, so based on Vumatel's new packages, the only upgrade on 100Mbps download is 100/100.
My question is:
1) Do I stay with VOX (and just upgrade my speed) - R1239 per month for 100/100 - most expensive, but they have worked well until now - customer service used to be very bad, it now seems far from good but has improved a lot. They get 82% 4+ stars on the "Rate Vox" thread.
2) Move to Cool Ideas - R1219 per month for 100/100 - I've heard a year ago that they were hands down the best, but I have read mixed reviews of late. Interestingly, they ALSO get 82% 4+ stars on the "Rate Cool Ideas" thread
3) Move to Cybersmart - R1099 a month - savings of over R100 per month. I'm happy to save money and I know cybersmart has been around for a while, but at the same time, if I'm not going to get the same experience as the above 2, I'd rather pay R130 and be hassle free if any issue should come up (or worry about speed degradation?). Cybersmart only ranks 62% for 4+ starts in the rating thread, but very few votes, so maybe numbers are skewed?
Is there any other ISP that should be on my list? I also remember seeing a post about different ISPs and which backbones they used - some better than others just based on their redundancy etc. If someone has this link again, please share?
Thanks
