Another Which Phone Thread ...

You talk CRAP. Straight out.

To get email on a blackberry you need BIS @ R60 per month or BES at R99 per month (The one is for normal email, the other is for when your company has an enterprise server).

If you pay your R60 per month, ALL yes I said ALL data that goes through the blackberry APN is FREE . There are no data charges for email, on device browsing, facebook, twitter, myspace, flickr etc.

On the E72, the email service is free - but you pay for ALL data transferred over the network (which can become quite costly if you get as many emails as I do).

Hmmm.
I accept the correction on PART of your reply.
However, according to the pamphlet I have IN FRONT OF ME, you DO NOT GET everything you listed when paying R60 per month.

I recommend you get a massage, or drink less coffe since you show a clear lack of respect for others when posting replies, as you possibly experiencing far too much tension.

A simple 'I can correct you' or 'You have posted incorrect information' would suffice.

I think the other guy is correct. All on device internet browsing is free (with the R60 p/m BIS), including facebook, flikr etc etc. As long as you browse on the device, and with a browser or app using the correct APN.

To the OP, if you need the device for e-mail, take the blackberry.

Sorry. Was not meant to be disrespectful....

There should be no charges for data on a blackberry with BIS unless you are streaming data. The official marketing material should mention unlimited email and internet. The unlimited internet refers to facebook/twitter/myspace/flikr and the blackberry browser etc as that all uses the internet.

I have been a blackberry user for just over a year now (coming from a Nokia E71) and I have been more than happy. I currently have 2 devices, one for personal and one for work (as work pays for the work one) and my SO, father, sister, brother in law, father in law have all gotten blackberries and have been over the moon happy with them.

Vodacom or MTN?

i actually had the same decision to make. E72 or bold 9700. i finally went bold 9700. BIS service is great since it's R60 and you download and browse for free whenever. YOu don't get that with E72. Also im connected to facebook and bbm all the time so i get notifications constantly on updates. Serious dude go blackberry. Although the features arent that good but they still fine. bb has 3g so that's all you need to connect quite fast.

One would think... in the ten months since the thread was started... the OP probably made a decision.

Are you just arsing about, digging up old threads for the hell of it today? Do you find public holidays that boring...?
