Another Gauteng High Court prosecutor tasked with the prosecution of President Jacob Zuma on charges of corruption has been demoted.

Advocate George Baloyi became the second senior prosecutor on a Zuma case to receive notice of his removal as Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions.

On Tuesday, The Star reported that Advocate Mutuwa Nengovhela, also a member of the team that prosecuted Zuma in the Johannesburg High Court, had been given the responsibilities of a clerk at the Family Court.

Two colleagues at the Pretoria High Court, Advocate Retha Meintjies SC and Advocate Connie Erasmus, have also been demoted and told to take up their new positions as prosecutors at magistrate courts around Pretoria on April 5.

Not sure if I buy the reasons behind it, smells more like revenge if you ask me.

"This is not a demotion at all, their rank and salary remain unaffected, and they are in fact in a better position to impart skill and knowledge to other prosecutors at court level. These are the principles of transformation and skills transfer,"

It seems like they have been redeployed to work in the courts where there are massive backlogs. Perhaps they prefer to sit in their high offices whilst there aren't enough prosecutors on the ground.

These people need to get back to their original tasks - they have more than enough evidence for a conviction.

The criminals at the top need to be dealt with first.

Backlogs in the high courts are just as bad, if not worse. What's going to happen now is that there won't be qualified, experienced prosecutors to put the fraudster, corruptioneers and other serious criminals away

Sorry but how can going from Deputy Public Prosecutor to clerk of family court NOT be considered a demotion?

Oink!

Yeah right - The useless monkeys always has some "intelligently" thought-out excuse

As per other members: OINK!

Why not? Its the ANC way.... Oh, of course these must not be ANC since they opposed Zuma. In that case of course they should work, only ANC appointed [insert banana republic title here] are allowed to do that.

The ones staying behind seem to be the racists, especially the ANC ! That is becoming very clear !

You can call us monkeys and other derogatory terms, all day long. His Excellency has spoken and now things are begining to happen. What? You don't agree? I reeealy feel sorry for you. Unfortunately we are the majority :D. Why don't you leave everything behind and go to Australia . . . One less racist to worry about :D

Ah, another racist who calls others racists has joined MYBB. And what things are beginning to happen? Service delivery? Rubbish. Anti-corruption? don't make me laugh. Reconciliation? Yeah, right.

My point of view any prosecuter not able to prosecute JZ on corruption after the fact that shiek was put in jail for his role in the said corruption deserves a demotion

rofl at the logic our banana republic uses :p:):p

You don't think it's shamefull what is being done? That an individuals whim has power over law?

Sad, very very sad. Another one who pisses on their own ideals.

That argument has some validity, it was/is an open-and-shut case, the evidence is all there, and SS was found guilty on Supreme Court appeal (in a two person crime).

That said, it seems that there was some significant interference in the judicial process, both against and for the accused.

LOL, without us you will be fscked :D

Just take a look at every other African country that chased the white people away. Its quite clear that Africans can't govern themselves. :D

Ugh, just shut the **** up. Is there a word for your level of stupid? So the world can burn so long as the torcher has a black skin. Then we can all grin happily from ear to ear?

And "leave everything behind"? No, pal. That's where you're wrong. Everything is taken with, leaving you and the minions to do what you usually do - outstretch palms to beg and then blame everyone else for how dumb you are.

On second thoughts, I can't ignore the strong stench of troll on this one. "His excellency"? If anything, that's the giveaway.
