Antec case has no power

PSU was given

I know that many computer places sell cases without PSU's.

So maybe it was a error, but in the long run, DP should've just given the guy a PSU (to show good faith) which they didn't even bother to do.

You mean to tell me, losing out on ±R500 would kill them?
No, instead, they've lost ALOT more, that I can tell you.

See the hole... DP has dug such a deep one for themselves... getting out is going to be a moerse mission.

HI gdiza,

This customer was sorted out and we did organise him a PSU. We were very happy to pay half for it as it was an extremely pricy one. The customer was happy with this.

Thanks
Karyn

Cases - no PSUs

The truth is most cases now days do not come with PSUs.

The cheaper cases do but the more expensive ones 9 out of 10 times do not come with a PSU.

I think the manufacturers do this so they can sell more of the more expensive power supplies.
Hi Terencesvs,
Yes you are 100% correct. A big reason for not selling all cases with PSUs is the fact that it depends on the users requirements. Eg: A high end graphics card will need more power than an entry level graphics card.

Thanks
Karyn

I ordered and paid for something from DP online. My wife went to pick it up. Turns out that it was a student version. The web site said nothing about a student version. They gave me a refund but that did not help with the wasted time for my wife going out there.

Hi Abe,

Would it be possible to please email me your order number to [email protected]? I would like to investigate.

Thank you
Karyn

I concede I hadn't thought of that and take my comments back - thanks for clearing it up... that is indeed a good reason to sell them seperately... silly me... and kudos for sorting the client out...
Did you offer to sort him out up front or was it after much whinging from the client? :p
I understand if you can't disclose that info... :D

Actually scrap that, I don't want to rag DP for the sake of it - I'm not really like that :p
I guess like many other pessimists out there, I have been bitten by the online ordering thing... with exceptions. It makes me ALOT happier to see a rep of DP's here - that will go a long way with making a decision in future to buy from DP.

It was over a year ago (maybe even 2) so I doubt I still have that information any more. I will take a look. The product is now correctly listed as an educational product but it was annoying enough at the time for me not to have purchased from DP since then.
